5 Minute Yoga for Runners

C If you are running

If you are are running at all on a somewhat regular basis, you are a runner. I say this because I struggle to identify myself as a runner because it feels like yet another hat I have to wear. I am a mom, a business owner, a wife, a yoga instructor, a homeowner, the list is forever long. Now you add runner and I am about to reach my limit. Truth be told I am a runner and I am training for a marathon that is just 6 short weeks away. I have noticed my tight muscles slowing me down as I have gotten into the final months of training and as a yogi this tightness is not a burden I enjoy to carry (espcailly on a 16 mile run).

Thinking through the muscles groups of running and the repetitive movements I have come up with a quick 5 minute yoga routine for post run. This is not an exhautive list of all the benefitial yoga poses for running because really there are a bunch and all runners should be trying to squeeze in yoga to their regular traiining. But this is something you can use for a quick post run recovery.
